When people search for “The Chosen Movie,” they are often looking for information about The Chosen, a groundbreaking multi-season television series about the life of Jesus Christ. While some episodes have been released in theaters as special events, the core of The Chosen is an ongoing series, not a single movie. This article will clarify what The Chosen is, how you can watch it, and what makes it a notable viewing experience.
Understanding ‘The Chosen’: Series, Not Just a Movie
The Chosen is a historical drama television series that portrays the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Unlike traditional biblical films, it focuses on the perspectives of the people who encountered Jesus, such as Mary Magdalene, Peter, Matthew, and Nicodemus. This approach offers a fresh, character-driven narrative that aims to humanize these biblical figures and the events surrounding Jesus’s ministry.
The series began as a crowdfunded project and has grown into a global phenomenon. It is designed to unfold over several seasons, with each season delving deeper into the stories and teachings found in the Gospels. While individual episodes or combinations of episodes have sometimes been released in cinemas, these are typically special screenings or season premieres, not standalone movies that encompass the entire story.
