Somoy TV officially began its journey in April 2011. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the channel was established with the goal of providing accurate and timely news to the public. It quickly gained a reputation for being on the scene of major events as they unfolded, earning the trust of a wide demographic.
Over the years, Somoy TV has expanded its reach far beyond the borders of Bangladesh. How to Watch Somoy TV Live
Accessing Somoy TV is straightforward, regardless of your location or preferred device. There are several ways to tune in to their live broadcasts and recorded segments.
Traditional Cable and Satellite
For viewers within Bangladesh, Somoy TV is available on almost all local cable and DTH (Direct-to-Home) service providers. You can usually find it by scanning your channel list for “Somoy TV.” If you are unable to find it, contacting your local cable operator is the best way to ensure the channel is included in your package.
Official Website Streaming
If you prefer watching news on your computer or laptop, the official Somoy News website is an excellent resource. By visiting somoynews.tv, you can access a dedicated live streaming section. This service is typically free and allows you to watch the same broadcast that is appearing on television in real-time.
YouTube Live Stream
Somoy TV has one of the largest YouTube presences in Bangladesh. Their official YouTube channel frequently hosts a 24/7 live stream of their broadcast. This is often the most stable way to watch the news if you have a limited internet connection, as YouTube’s player automatically adjusts video quality to prevent buffering.
Navigating the Somoy News Website
The Somoy News website is designed to be user-friendly and highly organized. It serves as a digital newspaper where you can read in-depth articles that complement the televised reports. Understanding the layout can help you find the information you need quickly.
- Top Navigation Bar: This area contains links to major categories such as National, International, Politics, Economy, and Sports.
- Breaking News Ticker: Usually located at the top of the homepage, this scrolling bar provides immediate updates on urgent events.
- Lead Stories: The center of the homepage features the most important stories of the hour, complete with high-quality images and headlines.
- Search Function: If you are looking for a specific past event, the search icon allows you to browse their extensive archive of news articles.
The website is also optimized for mobile browsers. This means you can read the news comfortably on your smartphone without needing to download a separate application if you are short on storage space.
Using the Somoy News Mobile App
For those who want the fastest updates, the Somoy News mobile app is a valuable tool. Available for both Android and iOS devices, the app brings the news directly to your pocket. Using the app offers several advantages over using a standard web browser.
One of the most helpful features of the app is push notifications. When a major event occurs, the app sends an alert to your phone, ensuring you are among the first to know. You can also customize these notifications to only alert you about topics you care about, such as sports or technology.
The app also features a “Save for Later” option. If you come across an interesting article but do not have time to read it immediately, you can bookmark it and return to it when you are offline or have more time. This makes it a great companion for commuters or busy professionals.
