Understanding Flight Classes
Air Peace offers different cabin classes to cater to various traveler needs and budgets. Each class comes with specific perks and limitations.
Economy Class
Economy Class is designed for budget-conscious travelers. Passengers receive standard seating and complimentary snacks or meals depending on the flight duration. It is the most common choice for short domestic hops.
Premium Economy
Available on select international routes, Premium Economy offers more legroom and enhanced meal options. This is a middle-ground choice for those who want extra comfort without the full cost of Business Class.
Business Class
Business Class provides a premium experience with priority check-in, lounge access, and increased baggage allowance. On long-haul flights, passengers enjoy lie-flat seats or extra-wide reclining chairs, gourmet dining, and personalized service.
Baggage Allowance and Policies
Baggage rules vary depending on your destination and the class of service you have booked. Adhering to these limits is essential to avoid extra fees at the airport.
Domestic Baggage Limits
- Economy Class: Usually allows for 15kg to 20kg of checked luggage.
- Business Class: Usually allows for up to 40kg of checked luggage.
- Carry-on: Passengers are typically allowed one piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 6kg.
International Baggage Limits
For international flights, the allowance is often more generous. For example, flights to London or Johannesburg may allow two pieces of luggage weighing 23kg each for Economy passengers. Always check your specific ticket details, as regional routes may have different requirements.
Note: Excess baggage is charged per kilogram. If you know you will be over the limit, it is often cheaper to prepay for extra weight online through the “Manage Booking” portal.
Check-In Procedures
To ensure a stress-free departure, you should understand the check-in timelines. Air Peace offers both online and airport check-in options.
Online Check-In
Online check-in typically opens 24 hours before the scheduled departure time and closes about 2 hours before the flight. Checking in online allows you to choose your seat and print your boarding pass in advance. If you only have carry-on luggage, you can proceed directly to security at many airports.
Airport Check-In
If you prefer to check in at the airport, arrive early. For domestic flights, the check-in counters usually close 45 minutes to 1 hour before departure. For international flights, it is recommended to arrive at least 3 to 4 hours early, as counters close 2 hours before the flight.
Managing Your Booking
Plans often change, and Air Peace provides tools to modify your itinerary. By visiting the “Manage Booking” section on their website, you can perform several tasks without calling customer service.
Common modifications include:
- Changing flight dates or times (subject to fare differences and change fees).
- Updating contact information.
- Adding special requests, such as wheelchair assistance.
- Upgrading your seat or cabin class.
If you need to cancel a flight, the refund eligibility depends on the type of ticket purchased. Non-refundable tickets may only allow for a partial credit toward a future flight, while flexible tickets may offer a cash refund after a processing fee.
The Peace Advantage Loyalty Program
For frequent flyers, Air Peace offers a loyalty program called “Peace Advantage.” Members earn points for every flight they take with the airline. These points can eventually be redeemed for free tickets or cabin upgrades.
Joining the program is free and can be done through the airline’s website. It is a practical way to get more value out of your travel, especially if you fly frequently between major Nigerian cities.
Travel Tips for Air Peace Passengers
To make your journey as pleasant as possible, consider these practical tips:
- Verify Documents: Ensure your passport has at least six months of validity for international travel. For domestic flights, carry a valid government-issued ID.
